Sunset is a series of 365 sky gradients created across 162 days throughout 2025 by João Generoso

The project captured the expressiveness of sunset colors across time both along each day and across the whole year, here represented by the latitude and longitude of a globe.

All gradients were made with Blender. At the end of the project, the entries were rendered into a single texture, which is passed to a Three.js material and separated based on their index.

Besides color, each entry includes their date, time, and index organized into a CSV table, which determines the order and the position of each plane.

João Generoso is a Designer and a Creative Coder, creating flexible brand systems and interactive design tools.

Based in São Paulo, Brazil, he has collaborated on award-winning projects with global brands including Google, Itaú, Microsoft, and Nike.
